| Did
you think the 2004 election went smoothly? This election was plagued
with ridiculous hassles for voters, efforts to deny people their right
to vote, electronic vote counting errors and alarming statistical anomalies.
However, the media has mostly ignored or dismissed the growing public
concern to make sure every vote is counted in this, and future elections.
With the attention given to the electoral challenge of Ohio's votes
(the first challenge since 1877), our concerns with the election process
can finally start to be addressed publically. Americans are getting
killed and killing others in Iraq in an attempt to spread democracy
and we have acted as an election watchdog in other countries, yet we
can't conduct a fair election in our own country? The White House, many
Republicans and irresponsible media outlets have unfairly dismissed
the criticisms of the voting process as "conspiracy theories"
or "partisan tactics."
However, they have not addressed the staggering amount of evidence revealing
the massive problems with our election process. During the Ohio electoral
challenge, Republican Representatives told those raising the objections
to "Get over it." and "Let it go." We believe that
a fight for a fair democracy in our own country is not something to
"let go of", and that it's a fight we must win. A lot of people
are already moving from the 2004 election, but we must address and correct
this issue now if we want our future elections to be fair and accurate.
In order to be heard, we need to arm ourselves with knowledge of the
situation and the ability to communicate it. We hope this website will
help in that effort. Please spread the word, support the fight for election
reform, stay open-minded, pass this website on, keep reading, and don’t
give up. |

• Exit polls were coming up all Kerry. Were they wrong? • Counties all over the nation are reporting hundreds, even thousands of miscounted votes. • Baffling positive swings in Republican turnout. • Surprising results that correlate with the type of voting system used. |
• Electronic election results can be easily tampered with, on many different levels. • Electronic voting machines don't produce a "receipt" to help ensure that every vote is counted. • The unsettling connections between the GOP and companies that make unreliable voting technologies. |
• Widespread voting rights injustices. • Election incidents being reported in the thousands in states like Florida and Ohio. • Evidence of racially biased suppression at all stages of the voting process. • And is the media still saying this election went smoothly?!? |
