Get ‘em while there hot people - some of these won’t be around for long.

This new art print will be up in the store on October 20th. The imagery was developed early in the year for a Vetiver concert poster. The print measures 18″x10.5″, much smaller than the original gigposter and it’s printed on a faint sky blue stock. Spring Swing has an edition of 40, but each print has been painted or drawn upon to make it unique. I’ve been working on these for a few months now, taking breaks from other projects to do up a few prints. I often did things like painting her dress/eyes a different color or placing new critters in the branches. Oh, and these will be $75.

More art from me & Dinosaur Jr.
This is my first specific gigposter for the band, though they have been using the the Farm album art for tour posters as well. This poster is a 5-color silkscreen print and hopefully it will be for sale at the gig in Madison, WI (my old hood). It will also be available in the Store along with a bunch of other new releases in mid-October.
The imagery in the poster includes elements/characters from the other artwork I’ve created for Dinosaur Jr. this year. Along with the new album, my artwork has been used for least 4 singles and a few t-shirts.
This poster is part of a Secret Serpents Poster Series, so there will be different posters at all the gigs.
I highly recommend checking out the Jr. when they come to your town. I also suggest ear plugs, they are the loudest band I’ve ever seen.
Golden Gate Park (Hall of Flowers), San Francisco - October 10th, 2009, (10am-6pm)
Poster show in the Bay with an impressive group of artists and collectors in attendance. It will be my second Festival of Rock Posters, last year I won a free booth and cash prize for my winning poster design. This year I plan on debuting and releasing many new prints at the show. (don’t worry, I’ll save some for you folks online that can’t make it to SF). I’ll have a booth on the back wall, somewhere in between Stanley Mouse and Brad Klausen. Check out the line-up, details and cool poster (by Gary Houston) at TRPS.org.
